The PauseFirst Project

The PauseFirst Project is dedicated to bringing mindfulness practices to First Responders. The project was started by Kim Colegrove, the wife of a retired First Responder who passed away less than three months after retiring from a 30-year law enforcement career.

As a tribute to her husband and a thank you to First Responders, Kim created a 4-hour meditation and mindfulness course called Learn to Pause℠ Mindfulness Training, which includes PAUSE15 Meditation℠ instruction. In 2017, she partnered with Major Darren Ivey of the Kansas City, Missouri police department, gathered an advisory board, and spearheaded a small crowdfunding campaign to get the project up and running.

Interest and attendance have continued to grow, and Kim now offers this block of training to organizations across the country.
